Project Présentation

The concept of creating a space-planning solution for a multifunctional shopping and entertainment center in the city of Yekaterinburg was initially based on creating a bright, recognizable image. In the understanding of the Architects and clients, this building was supposed to become an ART Object. The main elements that form the image of the building are:
- Interiors of public spaces
-Construction of a complex glass roof configuration
- And the culmination of the image is undoubtedly the Decorative Facade, which is unique in its architectural design and design features.
The main feature of the interior is the creation of a bright, open public space, saturated with light. Thanks to the glass roof, this space changes throughout the day, reflecting the state of the natural environment: Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. On sunny days, super graphics appear on the floor and white walls in the form of shadows from the lattice roof. Moreover, its pattern and color change throughout the day. This is especially interesting at sunset, when crimson clouds are visible through the glass roof, and the lights are already on in the corridors. A special place of attraction is the spacious two- and three-level atriums with a glass decorative bridge and an amphitheater. Particular attention was paid to decorative solutions for ceilings and finishing of escalators on the lower retail level. Much attention was paid to the formation of space two main entrances, northern and especially southern. The peculiarity of the southern, main entrance from the city side, can be called three main factors.
Organization of an area in front of the entrance for holding public events. For this purpose, an openwork canopy is made at the roof level in the form of a spatial structure with a glass coating. The main entrance portal is designed as a glass wall, with the help of which a visual flow of the external the space of the square into the internal, interior space of the three-level atrium and vice versa. The glass roof, wall and canopy create a unique real feeling, like a virtual installation from different points and levels of this place.
The main feature of the object, its calling card, was planned and actually became the decorative façade of the building.
The unique design of the decorative facade was conceived not as a direct quotation of the fan, but as a dynamic solution to the long line of the structure. Its length along Cosmonauts Street is 350 meters. The main task of this solution was to use the play of chiaroscuro. The best artist in our world is the Sun.
In the morning, afternoon and evening, the facade looks different depending on the sunlight. The geometry of the facade made it possible to maintain the play of light on the façade even on cloudy days.
The structure consists of two parts: - Under the structure (a load-bearing spatial system that is attached to the main frame of the building) and a decorative lattice made of lamellas decorated with the texture of wood.
A special feature of the facade is that there are no advertising signs of anchor tenants on the facades of the shopping center; special zones are allocated for advertising, located in 4 areas in the most accessible areas for visual perception. The concept of constructing the planning structure of the facility was created as a priority for public space and multi-functional public filling, towards which the development of this type of structure is moving.
Total area 160,000 m2
The height to the top of the central dome is 33.75 m.
