SNAKE
Project Présentation
The mechanical and technological installations
are the real topic of our contemporary design and these need to be managed aesthetically. “Snake”, a colour pipe, is a prototype by Abad,
used in combination with Viabizzuno spotlights and Kartell lamps. The reception is defined by “the snake”, the bright pipe that shows the
path towards the offices and characterizes the spaces. These spaces are surrounded by wiggly lines converging toward the central oval, lit up with fluorescent light. Volumes are extremely collected and create an ethereal, vanished environment, far from the
daily housing dimension. This space is marked by some symbolical figures, typical of the world of toys: numbers, and their placement in a random order, and colours, in a childlike combination.
The management offices do not betray this concept: the colour, decomposed in a neoplastic matrix with Dutch and Russian lines (from Mondrian to El Lisitskij), draw furniture built to be toys, even before being volumes destined to contain things.
Designed by Abad Architetti
Abad Architetti is a multidisciplinary firm based in Milan, specializing in landscape and urban design, architecture, and interior design.
