Project Présentation

The Suzhou City Investment Special Custody Company has over 100 veterans. These individuals consider the Special Custody Company as their main battlefield after retirement from the military. Despite their retirement, their patriotism hasn't faded, and they take on the duty and mission to guard the city's financial lifeline. The 'Home of Honor' project was established to serve this group of veterans. The project integrates military elements and red culture, aiming to create a multifunctional space for leisure, cultural exchange, and exhibitions, providing a warm place for veterans to recall their heroic years and continue their red lineage. In the limited space, each independent function is redesigned to meet the needs of cultural performances, allowing 'Home of Honor' to serve as a means of communication. The ceiling uses wire mesh and camouflage cloth patterns to cover the relatively messy pipes at the top, incorporating military elements and making the whole space more integrated. In the content design of the exhibition, a clever plan was executed around the theme of "A Gun for Peace, A Gun for Defense", with the deeds and honors of veterans at its core, firmly grasping the military elements and highlighting the red genes of the veterans."
