Cristina García Atelier

Project Présentation

MAXIMALIST MINIMALISM The interior design of Cristina Garcia's atelier showroom

is a harmonious combination of natural materials, evocative colors, curved shapes and retro-futuristic details that capture the essence of the brand. Classic futurism. To define the style of this firm is to speak of a mixture of tradition and modernity. It is an adaptation of folkloric details to the fashion of 2050, an avant-garde vision full of nuances and traditional cultural references. This style reflects Cristina Garcia's passion for volumes, ruffles and highlighting feminine silhouettes, integrating a rich diversity of cultural influences. The space not only reflects the designer's identity, but also blends with that of the interior designer, resulting in a space that draws on tradition to place itself in the future. From Cateto Cateto we have created a space where the intention has been to generate an envelope that expresses, with very little, the identity of the brand, but without competing with the product on displayed in the showroom. The idea was to make Cristina García's garments the protagonists. Thanks to the spatial and visual amplitude achieved through the demolition of the previous partitions, the use of pink and mauve colors that characterize the brand, we have managed to create a minimalist space, but maximalist in the details: curves and more curves, which clearly exhibits the spirit of the brand. The design of the atelier proposes a free and multifunctional floor plan, looking for flexibility and effectiveness in the day to day. The neutral, bichromatic space uses a uniform color palette that manages to highlight the essence of the designer's work. The partitions separating the fitting room from the store have been replaced by curtains that run along the ceiling, creating a modular, fluid and adaptable space. These curtains allow the space to be functionally organized, defining different environments within an area of only 80 square meters. This arrangement generates boundaries of privacy and permeability. A simple change in the position of the curtains transforms the perception of the space, allowing to appreciate it in its entirety or fragment it according to the needs of the moment, segmenting it into predefined areas: fitting room, customer service room, dress display area and distributor that connects to the atelier in the back. The play of curtains together with mirrors generates suggestive atmospheres and reflections. In short, Cristina García's atelier is an extension of her style, amaterialization of her creative vision from the prism of Alejandro Cateto.
