Casa Capirote

Project Présentation

The interior design concept for these apartments, Casa Capirote, is deeply inspired by the essence of Seville, particularly Triana potery, which is referenced in numerous details of the Plaza de España. This potery, renowned for its vibrant colors and artistic details, is reflected in the design through decorative elements and geometric paterns present in the bed headboard, beams and sink, bringing a handcrafted and authenthic touch to the space. The apartment is characterized by being a unique, diaphanous and multipurpose space, which adapts to different needs through the strategic use of curtains. These allow the space to be divided and reorganized as needed, offering a flexibility that varies between a more social environment and a more intimate or private area. This design solution not only provides versatility, but also maximizes the entry of natural light, generating a warm and luminous environment that highlights the earth and green tones, so characteristic of the city. Natural light enhances the feeling of spaciousness and connection with the outdoors, making the space feel cozy and in harmony with its surroundings. The choice of dividing the space with curtains, rather than compartmentalizing it into rooms, reinforces the idea of a fluid and dynamic space that can be easily transformed according to the needs of the moment. This approach not only offers functionality, but also maintains a clean and minimalist aesthetic, in keeping with the lime mortar finishes and the presence of ceramic elements inspired by the Triana tradition. Lime mortar has been used for the walls, a traditional material in Andalusian architecture that evokes the ancient construction techniques of the region. The design also incorporates ceramic details that reinforce the connection with local tradition, while the contemporary furniture and accessories, with organic shapes and clean lines, achieve a perfect balance between the modern and the traditional. Overall, the interior design of this home not only pays homage to Seville's architectural and artistic traditions, but also reinterprets these elements in a contemporary way, offering a space that is both a reflection of local history and an expression of modernity and sophistication.
