Project Présentation

Origin of building renovation: It was originally a box building, standing by the West Lake for 15 years, and after communicating with Party A, it is hoped to be transformed and renovated into a small and refined building. Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was originally the ancient capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, located on the shore of the West Lake, adjacent to the Tang and Song Dynasty Confucian Temples (thousand-year-old buildings), and the designers wanted to restore the buildings related to the local geomorphology and culture. It was considered to adopt a softer Song style than modern techniques to give the building a new life and unify with the history and culture of the area.

In this case, the waterfall landscaping of Taihu Lake and the background silk embroidery (Suzhou embroidery intangible cultural heritage) of the hotel lobby have a correspondence with each other, and the birds in the middle surround the artwork in a hovering state and the surrounding landscape embroidery form a dynamic and static combination, and the feeling of being in the natural landscape is in person.

Entering the zero point restaurant, the elements of lanterns, lotus patterns, swastika patterns, and palace lamps run through the entire public area, showing a high degree of unity of the external architectural language with simple hands, expressing the charm of the traditional Chinese style of the Song Dynasty.

The sleeping area is painted with wall lamps and ink landscapes of famous dynasties with bamboo weaving as the background, and bamboo represents the spiritual character of integrity, modesty, perseverance, and selfless dedication, and the ancient Chinese said that "it is better to eat no meat than to live without bamboo"

The top garden enjoys the moonlight of the West Lake, the ancient building of Wushan, the thousand-year-old Confucius Temple, and the humanities and art and cultural language of the culture and the surrounding environment are softened, giving new meaning and value to the inside and outside of the building.
