Jianhang Shaoxing Jianlanfu Exhibition Center Project

Project Présentation

From afar, from ancient times to modern times

Housing reflects the cross-section of lifestyle, from deep residential complexes to today's low-density housing,

From Kuaiji Mountain to Dingdou Lane, Shaoxing is quietly advancing its residential resources in the landscape city.

Shaoxing Jianhang Jianlan Mansion has put the concept of "low-density" resource-based housing on the banks of Shaoxing's moat. Here, TCD ² The Pingze design at the Jianhang Jianlan Mansion Exhibition Center showcases the modern aesthetic of life in a water town city in Jiangnan. The residential area where Jianhang Jianlan Mansion is located is located in the core area of the city, on the Dingdou Lane plot. The design is positioned as a towering group with a natural cultural sense of belonging to Shaoxing.

From afar, from ancient times; from near distance, from present.

Nowadays, Shaoxing is a city with buildings crisscrossing and roads crisscrossing, forming an interactive network of water systems and roads. Despite having nearly a thousand water systems, the moat is only one of them.

In the design of the exhibition center, the designer extracts the contemporary context of the intersection of ancient and modern in Shaoxing, endowing the space with a strong and vigorous charm. The spatial form draws on local characteristics and continues the local architectural language. The fusion of tradition and modernity creates a modern Eastern cultural identity, creating continuity in cultural and spatial experiences.

Layered landscape and Jiangnan style

Shaoxing, with a light boat at eight feet and a low canopy with three fans, is different from the traditional impression of Jiangnan, where natural charm and fireworks flow through it. The essence of Shaoxing lies in the thousands of boats and boats, the mountains and rivers of Jiangnan, and the ubiquitous smoke and fire.

Faced with the process of new life in the old city, how can the local population still experience the original Jiangnan water town in modern buildings. Therefore, the design of the exhibition center will present traditional forms in a modern way that exceeds expectations. The "Tequila Sculpture" in the foyer, which evolved from an open boat, makes it the focal point of the space and instantly enhances the overall artistic tone of the space. In a space with a height of 5.8 meters, circular lighting fixtures are used as the sunken visual focus to create a sense of stability. The exhibition center presents a regular strip shape. After entering the reception area, the floor plan is arranged along the spatial axis to sequentially set up a sand table area, a negotiation area, and a water bar area. To avoid excessively interconnected spaces and create a sense of hierarchy with multiple courtyards, double doors with wire mesh glass are used to block functionality and visibility along the walking path, presenting a layered and interesting spatial experience. The process of moving from the starting point to the ending point is also full of cultural emotions and quality of life that can be savored carefully.

Natural creation and humanistic creation

Beyond the abstract expression of landscape imagery, TCD ² Design creates a humanistic place for people to experience a luxurious lifestyle, transcending the constraints of structure and geometry. Soft furnishings, installations, and objects add rich artistic and emotional experiences to the space. The fusion of light and dark backgrounds serves as the overall color tone strategy, combining the vigorous stone ground with wooden decorative surfaces, with leather and metal to soften. In order to reflect the cultural heritage of Shaoxing and the intersection of modern progress, the clear texture of the stone responds to the fluidity of space, freely and freely, forming an interface contrast with the orderly and vertical patterns of the wooden decorative surface. The material interface emphasizes exquisite craftsmanship. For home furnishings, choose a comfortable and regular multi person sofa, paired with artworks of free form, to form a clever dialogue, fully displaying comfort and luxury. The single seat also complements the natural elements in modern form and space, while the natural landscape of mountains and rivers is hidden in artistic paintings, greenery, carpet patterns, and the natural texture of materials.

How to enable people to gain rich perceptual power from historical memory and regain their current sense of freedom, TCD ² Horizontal design defines every inch of space in a natural and gentle way, endowing culture with a flowing form rather than being rigidly placed in fixed positions, allowing visitors to feel the hospitality of the space.
